DOGGIES!!!

Hi, Rebecca…
I listen to your show almost every morning and I know that you love pets.
Do you know about the national “Cutest Dog Competition?”  Information and links are presented below.  It’s a 12-week competition, and this is week 11!  The local NE Ohio media is only now picking up the story, although it has been featured on CNN and in other cities.  I wondered if you might do a shout-out about it on your show and/or perhaps feature some local dogs on your “Pets Page.”

I don’t know if you can search the “Cutest Gallery” (photos of all of the 10,000+ dogs entered into the contest) by city, but here are two entries from Cleveland (they are, of course, my dogs).  Here are their enty photos:

Piper (rescued mutt of varied background–incl. Jack Russell, Bichon, etc…):

Gracie (shih-poo):

In order to vote in the contest, voters have to register their e-mail address (1 per person) on the site and login to cast their votes.
I’m sure there are a lot of dogs from NE Ohio in the contest.  Perhaps you can find a way to get them some “extra” press.  The weekly winners have all had 500+ votes (some even 4-5K!)–mainly because they’ve gotten their local TV stations and newspapers to get behind specific dogs.
Anyway, hope you can help someone from NE Ohio get some more votes & possibly be a weekly winner.  Of course, I’d love to have you vote for Piper and Gracie, but there are a ton of cute dogs in the contest!
Thanks much,
Karen from Cleveland
